Bravo Goes Green!
We will be recycling all of the plastic water bottles in the gym.  There will be special
bins in the gym for all plastic bottles.  Bravo will also be giving every Bravo
household (1) energy efficient light bulb, that we ask you replace at home with an
non-efficient light bulb.  We will also have a contract for those of you interested to
promise to go Green with us.  Let us teach our kids the importance of recycling.
Parents must come in to receive light bulbs.  Light bulbs will be available starting this
Saturday.  Please help us in this cause.

10 WAYS TO GO GREEN AT HOME
  1. Switching over to compact fluorescent light bulbs is a real "no brainer".  CF bulbs use about 1/4 the
energy of normal incandescent light bulbs and CF bulbs can last up to 10 times as long as standard
bulbs.  CF bulbs also produce much less heat.
  2. A low-flow aerating shower head can save 16,000 gallons of water, which in turn saves 300 pounds
    of CO2 and $150 a year in water-heating costs
  3. Run the dishwasher only when it is full to save 100 pounds of CO2 and $40 a year.
  4. Low-Flow toilets can save almost 30,000 gallons of water a year.
  5. Unplug electronics:  Even when they are turned off, electrical appliances still use power.  Whenever
possible, unplug electronics, especially cell phone chargers.
  6. Thermostat: Set the thermostat 2 degrees warmer in the summer and 2 degrees cooler in the winter
to save 2,000 pounds of CO2 and $98 a year.
  7. Laundry: Wash clothes in cold water, as opposed to hot or warm, to save 500 pounds of CO2 a
    year.
  8. Air Conditioning: Change the air filter a few times a year to save 550 pounds of CO2 and $30 a year.
  9. RECYCLE
  10. Make your own cleaning supplies: Using simple ingredients such as baking soda, soap, and vinegar,
you can make cheap, easy, and non-toxic cleaning products that really work.  Save money, time and
    your indoor air quality.
